FT Innovative Lawyers Asia-Pacific Awards

On 13 May 2021, we held the FT Innovative Lawyers Asia-Pacific Awards as a virtual event which you can watch here if you missed the live broadcast. While we certainly miss the fantastic gathering of the region’s legal community that has been the live awards event in Hong Kong, the virtual format has allowed us to do so much more. In addition to announcing the law firm, in-house legal team and individual award winners, there will be four panel sessions to explore some of the important themes in this year’s report. We’ll hear from law firm leaders, innovative practitioners, general counsel and innovators on the following topics: They are:

New paths to sustainable business:
How can lawyers contribute to the sustainability agenda? We explore three different approaches.

Legal design:
What opportunities does use of design principles offer the legal profession and how is this impacting the practice of law?

What does the future law firm look like and how can leaders not only ensure resilience, but also sustainability?

Moving the market forward:
Lawyers are not only reacting and facilitating business, they are now proactively carving new paths and helping markets to expand, often with the help of new technologies.

Congratulations to all the award winners including:
