 Cup of Innovation
Company executives in a recent McKinsey Report thought that innovation would be key driver to growth over the next three to five years. Law firms who can embed an innovative approach into their practices will find it becomes a key driver to sustainable profitability. But firms can be innovative in different ways. Some firms do it in the way they run their businesses – in their approach to client service for example. Others make it a hallmark of their legal advice. For example, Eversheds has tackled common client complaints about lawyers fees and billing by introducing formal systems of predictability and transparency. Others such as Slaughter and May have made innovative lawyering part of their brand. The uniform ability of the firm’s partners to create their own instructions and come up with solutions to thorny and complex problems means it can command some of the highest fees in the City.
