Corporate Risk in M&A
When international law firm Norton Rose wanted to investigate the changing face of the global M&A market, the firm commissioned RSG Consulting to design and conduct the research.

We interviewed 100 heads of legal at some of the world’s leading multinationals. We found that the picture had increased in complexity over the preceding five years: increased regulation in developed jurisdictions was balanced with corruption, unpredictable bureaucracy and lack of know-how in emerging markets.

The Report revealed a ticking time-bomb in the world’s major corporations. 41% of companies questioned did not have a global compliance system in place. And 50% of in-house counsel interviewed were not confident that the key decision-makers in their organisations had adequate knowledge of issues that could affect their transactions.

The Report received coverage in the Sunday Times Business section, and Norton Rose was able to follow up the Report with a successful related seminar programme.
