RSG India Report
The RSG India Report is the first business user’s guide to the Indian legal sector

Doing business in India can be complicated
The bar rules mean that law firms cannot advertise or have websites so even basic data such as telephone numbers and email addresses are hard to find. The lack of a legal press, an extremely fluid market and the fact that foreign law firms are barred from having offices means that the market is opaque to outsiders. Liberalisation, when it comes, will change this. But until now, in-depth and independent information about Indian law firms has been nonexistent. We provide in-depth information about the firms gathered through face-to-face interviews in India and London.

Six months and 90 face to face interviews in India
RSG Consulting has produced a report on India that is designed to be practical, commercial and useful. It was produced in response to comments from clients who wanted to have the ‘low down’ when they went into meetings and who were frustrated by a lack of all round analysis to inform their India strategies.

What will readers get, in brief?
  • The inside track on the Indian law firms capable of
    international work
  • A commercial insight into corporate India
  • Up-to-date analysis of key aspects of the Indian legal market
The last word should go to Reuben Buck, Director of Legal Services, Cisco Systems who said:

"India has a scale that is unthinkable in the US. For example, there are 200 million mobile phone users in India... if you don't think India is going to change the game, then you haven't been paying attention."
