Reena SenGupta, Managing Director
Reena has over 15 years’ experience of researching, reporting on and analysing the legal sector. As editor and publishing director of Chambers Publishing she devised the research methodology behind the Chambers and Partners guides to the legal profession and launched the first ever Chambers Global guide. In 2001, she set up RSG Consulting.
A natural communicator and analytical commentator on the legal market, Reena is extremely well-known throughout the profession. Her extensive network spans senior lawyers, clients and legal PR professionals as well as commentators and journalists. She excels at devising innovative campaigns for clients. 
Reena’s relevant experience includes:

  • Undertaking research and consultancy projects for top law firms
  • Writing regular articles on the legal profession for the ‘Financial Times’
  • Devising and launching the FT Innovative Lawyers Report, now in its third year
  • Consulting with senior law firm management on strategy and business development
  • Conducting thousands of interviews with partners, clients and others at the most senior level
  • Making presentations to partners and facilitating workshops and group exercises
  • Editor of Chambers Guides and ‘Commercial Lawyer’ magazine

Caroline Walker
Caroline is a qualified lawyer who has worked within the legal sector for over 15 years. She first worked with Reena SenGupta as her deputy editor on the Chambers guides and as editor of the Chambers Student Guide. She has also worked as an editor and copywriter in the marketing and communications team at Herbert Smith, and set up a marketing function at a small private client firm of accountants.
Caroline is an analytical legal professional with extensive copywriting, editing and interviewing experience and a deep knowledge of the legal profession.
Caroline’s relevant experience includes:

  • Conducting client relationship management interviews
  • Preparing consultancy reports on CRM, branding and competitor analysis
  • Extensive interviewing experience from the Chambers guides and for the 2006 and 2007 FT Innovative Lawyers Reports
  • Writing copy for law firm websites, graduate recruitment brochures, annual reports and internal law firm newsletters.

Louise Ashley
Louise is a marketing professional with 10 years’ marketing experience in the legal sector. She has worked in the marketing team at Oyez Professional Services and at Allen & Overy LLP. She has a PhD from Oxford University on issues surrounding diversity and work-life balance in major City law firms.
Louise combines her communication and marketing skills with academic rigour and a thorough understanding in research methodologies.
Louise’s relevant experience includes:

  • Devising and project-managing marketing and communications campaigns
  • Carrying out extensive in-depth qualitative interviews with law firm partners and top clients
  • Carrying out interviews with leading in-house counsel for Eversheds’ report into the law firm of the 21st century
  • Writing and editing Eversheds’ report on the law firm of the 21st century.

Richard Dilks
Richard has been an academic researcher and author, a print and online journalist and a script supervisor for films and TV programmes. He is a highly analytical researcher and interviewer with a strong attention to detail. His relevant experience includes:

  • Conducting extensive research for the 2007 FT Innovative Lawyers Report, including over 250 interviews with leading lawyers in the private, public and in-house sectors
  • Carrying out the majority of the interviewing for Eversheds’ report into the law firm of the 21st century
  • Writing and editing Eversheds’ report on the law firm of the 21st century
